CHEF SERIES: Rummin' Tings

For those of you in the 'know', you know that Rummin’ Tings is our favorite Caribbean bar and restaurant. We love the food, we love the atmosphere, and we most definitely enjoy hanging out there after work. Oozing chilled vibes and island charm, we just had to reach out to their Chef for an island inspired recipe. 

Salmon Mango Tartar  

100g Fresh salmon skin off and trimmed 
32g Chopped onion
 ½ tea spoon of cider vinegar  
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
2 table spoons Fresh lime juice 
Avocado chopped in medium chunks
Cucumber cut in small cubes
Sawtooth coriander (Thai parsley) chopped
Chives (herbs)
Dill (herbs)
Seasoning with earth spice –salt, paprika, white pepper 
Pinch of all spice power 
Long red chili
Olive oil
Mango in small chunks


1 – Chop salmon finely add cider vinegar, lemon and lime juice mix together and put in fridge to get cold around 10 minutes so salmon can absorb the flavor of cider vinegar, lemon and lime juice 

2- In another Bowl mix rest of ingredients’ together

3- mix salmon with rest of ingredients

With lunch sets, delicious sandwiches, Rummin' Tings is an awesome spot for a quick lunch or a drink afterwork. 

The bar at Rummin’ Tings offers a variety of stellar hand crafted rum cocktails as well as others, in addition to Caribbean classics created by their very own mixologists. Also available are a selection of frozen drinks, pitchers of potent punches and more, as well as beer and wine.
